Description
Wild Boar Wood Campsite offers a magical woodland glamping experience in the West Sussex countryside.
Tucked amongst the trees, the furnished pre-erected bell tents are complete with beds, cooking equipment and your own firepit.
Relax by the campfire, explore the woods and wave at the passing vintage steam trains of the Bluebell Railway.
Part of Pegs and Pitches Camping, this off-grid glamping site is located in private five-acre woodland near Haywards Heath, West Sussex.
Guests are treated to a lovely woodland setting, a space for crackling fires, tweeting birds and den building. It’s an ideal place to connect with the outdoors while being an easy reach of London and Brighton.
The nine pre-erected 5m bell tents are set in a superb bluebell wood of 5 acres, where each has its own fire pit, grill for cooking on and picnic bench. Inside are comfy beds, cooking equipment and a bag of firewood to get you started.
The site also has two faraway bell tents tucked away in seclusion – perfect for couples or families who want a little more privacy. Some of the bell tents are closer together for those coming in groups.
The site has a water supply, eco flushing toilets and our very popular outdoor bucket showers (warm water supplied). There is a covered washing up area to the side and a baby bath onsite for the youngest campers. There is also a central camp area with communal fire which provides a great cooking area under cover. A warden is on site at all times to help guests.
The Old Dairy Farm and its shop are just two miles from site.
Cars are parked away from the camping area so campers can relax in nature. It’s ideal for families and groups to reconnect and renew friendships or chat with fellow campers around the campfire.
Whole campsite bookings can also be made if you have a special occasion. Please note, the campsite is off-grid so has no electric. Campers will have a back to nature experience that won’t easily be forgotten!
